Conrad McGrath PVC flutes are dyed using our propriety process that embeds the color deep into the body and imparts a natural look. Below are samples. If you want a different color, just ask.

Bamboo

We scorch the bamboo to harden it and improve the tone. It is then sanded, stained and sealed with polyurethane inside and out to resist cracking from moisture changes.

Note: Bamboo cracks; that's why it is traditionally bound with waxed cord. There are usually cracks introduced in the finishing process which do not affect playability. Conrad McGrath bamboo flutes are guaranteed to remain playable, so if a crack develops that affects playability, we will repair it for you for the cost of two way shipping.
